Dr Namal Senasinghe recieved his education at Trinity College Kandy and graduated from North Colombo medical college in SriLanka in 1991. Since 1991 he has had two and a half years of postgraduate training in Sri Lanka and seven years in the UK in anaesthesia and chronic pain management. He had his training at St Barthlomews and the London school of anaesthesia. He was appointed as a consultant in pain medicine & anaesthesia to the East Kent NHS University trust in March, 2003. He has been in the position until May, 2014. Now he spends his time entirely in the private sector betwwen United Kingdom and Sri Lanka. He can be consulted at the Spencer private hospital, Kent and The Princess Grace Hospital in London.  He was instrumental in setting up the Nawaloka Pain management unit in Sri Lanka In June 2013 the first of its kind in Sri Lanka. Then he set up the pain management unit at the Colombo Central Hospital (Sri Lanka) around Nov, 2013. He was appointed as a consultant to the sports medicine unit, Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka.
